Define the term "prehistoric." What eras comprise the prehistoric era? What were some of the major accomplishments of Homo sapiens in the prehistoric era? Which accomplishments do you think were the most significant?
The prehistoric era is also called the Stone Age. Before the Stone Age about four million years ago, began a separation between humanlike apes called hominids and other apes. The Stone Age is divided into two parts, the Old Stone Age and the New Stone Age. The Old Stone Age is also known as the Paleolithic age started about 2 million years ago and ended about 10,000 years ago.
