Amadeus Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart had an incredible and quite eccentric life. He worked during a very violent political and social upheaval during the Classical Period and was strongly affected by all of the changes in society and within the Patronage System. Wealthy middle-class merchants and lawyers wanted their children to be surrounded by music at home and wanted them to learn how to play an instrument. The demand for music and composers to write amateur pieces was overwhelming.
