To show how serious the war is, the number of death people is the most important statistics. The people who were survived in the war had been forgot and called lucky. Do they really feel lucky or unfortunately to live with the pain such as lost family and lovers? In the novel of Triage, war does not only kill people, it also damages those who are not killed. Colin, Joachin's family and Perez were certainly killed by the war, but the suffer of their death left on the survivors. The truth of the war is that war not only destroy people's physicality, it also damage people's spirit who has survived in the war.
