Do you think that the legal drinking age is fair set at 21? I personally don't believe that it is fair at all, and I think that it is time for a change. I believe that with the drinking age set at 21, all it is accomplishing is taking away a right that an 18-year-old should have. The drinking age would be better set at the age of 18 because of the many disadvantages it presents with being set at the age of 21.
For the most part 18-year-olds are treated as adults. As Michael Smith points out, they can vote for president, fir a rifle for the military, buy and sell real estate, and raise families of their own. It is blatantly inconsistent to forbid them to drink. Many of them view the setting of the drinking age at 21 as hypocritical. Small wonder it hasn't worked. (Smith, Par...
