Man on Fire

There is one kidnapping every 60 minutes in Latin America. Seventy percent of the people who are kidnaped do not survive. The movie, “Man on Fire” takes place in Mexico City that is trying to explain why there is so many kidnappings in Latin America, which stars Denzel Washington who plays John W. Creasy. John Creasy was a member of the military for 16 years and involved with extensive counter-terrorist experience that becomes a bodyguard in Mexico. His friend, Ray, setup him up to become a bodyguard for the Ramos family, but most of all for Lupita Martin Ramos, the little girl. Lupita is a swimmer that wants to quit playing the piano and focus on swimming. The first time that Lupita and Creasy meet, Lupita tells Creasy that there has been 24 kidnaps in the last six days in Mexico City. In the movie, Creasy tries to commit suicide by shooting himself but the gun doesn’t work, and he now knows that he needs stay alive for something important.
