The two stories of the flood Gilgamesh and Noah
There are many different stories of the great flood of the earth. The following are only two of the whole bunch that is in the world today. Some people believe in Noah and the lord others believe in Gilgamesh and his quest for immortality. There are similarities and differences in the two stories and that is what I'm here to point out.
The first subject in the two beliefs that differ is the mere number of days and nights of rain. The rain is a similarity, but, in Gilgamesh it only rained six days and nights. Noah's version rained forty days and nights. There are many more differences in the stories.
The second major difference in the stories was the type of birds used to scout for land. The story of Gilgamesh used a swallow, dove, and a raven to scout the land...
