Since he was sworn in as president on January 20 2001, George W. Bush has had a rocky presidency. His first term as president began with a devastating start; the September 11th attacks on the world trade center and the pentagon. America watched closely to see how the rookie president would handle one of the worst instances of terrorism in U.S. history, and put his skills of leadership to the test. Throughout his four years, he has led America through war and a busy economy; he has had his share of accomplishments and failures along with many accusations of ineffectiveness and lack of ability to run the country in his presidency.
Accomplishments of the Bush Administration
In his four-year term as the president of the United States, George Bush has discussed plans for many of Americas major political and economical issues that he faced when voted into the presidency and many new problems that arose during his time in office. One of the first initiatives as president was to improve public schools by raising standards, requiring accountability, and strengthening local control. He presented a $50 million dollar choice incentive fund so that parents would have more choices in their children's education...
