Ivan vs. Florida
In today's society man has control over a variety of different things. One thing that is uncontrollable is the weather, and the power of Mother Nature. In the months between June and November the state of Florida never knows whether or when a part of the state could be devastated. The hurricane season of 2004 has been one the state will not soon forget, and could possibly get worse. Hurricane Ivan should not hit Florida for the well being of all the state's citizens.
The hurricane season of 2004 has been eventful to say the least. Charley came and surprised many by changing course in the final few hours before landfall and destroying the property of thousands of unprepared citizens. In his aftermath he left over a million Florida residents without power for days, and created a state of emergency for a large portion of the state. People lost their homes, valuables, and normal life as they knew it...
