ST. LOUIS There were plenty of mementos Terry Francona could have taken to serve as a reminder of his first season as Red Sox manager.
The lineup card was a standard keepsake. A baseball autographed by the players or a photo with them would be nice.
How about the photos of Babe Ruth on the wall in the visiting managers office at Busch Stadium? What could better symbolize his teams accomplishment than the picture of the Bambino, fishing rod in hand, hooking a big one?
Francona, who turned out to be quite a catch, truly wanted just one picture in his mind.
