I stand before you today not as a republican, a democrat, or even a politician, but simply as a moral human being. I am here to urge you to vote for what stands as morally just. Today, I am speaking to you on the topic of abortion.
But I ask them, and I as you the people, what of the rights and freedoms of those unborn? We have heard the women of today speak on this topic telling us of their rights in this country to freedom, and I couldn't agree more. After all, it was our very own forefathers who wrote the words, "right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." The key word in that, to me, is life. Which brings up the question: if our country's women have just as much freedom as the rest of our country, the men, the youth, the elderly, then do not our unborn children possess the same freedom? If a child cannot speak up for itself in defense, does that mark it as a possession, not a human? I am here to tell you that that is not right!..
