Throughout history there have been two basic forms of social organization: collectivism and individualism. In the twentieth-century collectivism has taken many forms: socialism, fascism, nazism, welfare-statism and communism are its more notable variations. The only social system commensurate with individualism is capitalism. Although, communism and capitalism tend to be the more widespread forms of government, both having positive as well as negative aspects. In my opinion, Capitalism is the better government for the common man, and in the rest of my essay I will prove the reasons for my viewpoint.
Capitalism and Communism, without a doubt, both have negative consequences. For instance, in a capitalist country, there will be much variation in society's social classes. The rich will be very high up, and the poor will be very low down. The rich businessmen and entrepreneurs can exploit the more impoverished people, those with little or no particular skills, and greatly overwork them for extremely low wages. In communism, however, everyone will be treated as equals...
