The video on slavery was very sad and interesting. It was heartbreaking to see how blacks were humiliated and degraded during those days. There were lots of scenes that stood out to me, but I am going to discuss only a few.
Slaves were in the fields from sunrise to sunset and at harvest time they did an eighteen hour day. Women worked the same hours as the men and pregnant women were expected to continue until their child was born. Many slaves were taken when they were very young, they started usually as errands boy or play mate for there masters children. A lot of them did not have shoes.
Rape was also common during those days. Black women were usually raped as a way to humiliate their husbands. The masters had different forms of control over their slaves...
