Plato and Aristotle were sitting around in Plato's hot tub one afternoon and received word that a lion had escaped from the local zoo and was on it's way to eat them, prompting them to engage in a conversation about change. What would each of them say regarding the ideas on change of Parmenides and Zeno? This is the rather unlikely question that has been posed. The answer is slightly complex. Plato believed that there were two worlds that existed simultaneously. The world of forms was the "true" world, where everything was perfect. The perfect circle existed in the world of forms. The perfect table existed in the world of forms. These things don't exist in a perfect form however, in the world of matter. The world of matter is a poor imitation of the world of forms...
