The 2004 Presidential election is bound to be one of the most contested races due to the enormous issues splitting the American population. The controversial issues that will decide the election and which the candidates are aiming their campaign to include the War in Iraq, the economy, and homeland security. President George Bush and Senator John Kerry have the similar views but choose to carry out their plans in different ways.
Even though George Bush and John Kerry agree on the War in Iraq, they also have their own point of views. Bush insists he would have still gone to war had he known what he knows now. He opposes setting a pull out date instead he will maintain 14,000 troops ignoring his earlier plan to cut the force to 10,000. Bush is working on an exit strategy by asking allies to train Iraqi police in setting up a new Iraqi government. Kerry said that Bush overstated the intelligence, alienated the rest of the world, and failed to prepare for the consequences. Kerry said if he were in charge, our allies would be working with us not against us. He stated that he would do a much better job in persuading other countries to help rebuild Iraq...
