Homosexuality has been defined in different ways throughout history. The Greek society embraced the concept of a homosexual relationship between the giver and receiver- a mentor and his student. The 18th century did not even talk about the concept-it was seen as immoral. The acts of oral or anal sex were classified as greater sins than rape. Until the end of the 19th century, homosexuality was scaled on a different level- a word called inversion which was characteristically males having female tendencies on the basis of character, behavior, and conduct. Homosexuality has been scaled differently throughout history. In actuality, homosexuality antedates the term heterosexual- describing deviant behavior of something that is normal or natural, hence a negative connotation. The relationship between two women has generally received less attention than that of males. Even the lesbian term has changed over time fully defining itself in the 19th century. Today's advocates claim that the emotional bond cannot be called homosexuality because sexual contact is not part of the accurate description of women who related genitally to other women but are subservient in the myths, practices, and institutions of allegiance to men...
