Let's think about the times when we had no need to lock doors, or were able to safely walk the streets without being robbed. Well those days are at its end unfortunately. According to the Royal Bahamas Police Force the number for crimes was down in 2002, compared to 2003. In 2001 there were crimes such as manslaughter, rape, attempted rape, murder, attempted murder, armed robbery and attempted robbery was at 1,376, on the other hand in 2003 it was 1,330. Although we can see a decrease it is not much and for a small country these figures are still high. Crime in our society is on and increase and there are many reasons for this. Poverty, poor parenting and revenge all can contribute to this increase.
In life today some people are not as fortunate as others, some are just provided with the basic necessities, while others struggle to have their needs filled. Poverty is an issue in mostly every society. There is over 1 million people in the world who suffer with poverty in half the world nearly three billion people live on less than two dollars a day...
