Peer Pressure: Good and Bad
When I asked my parents and other people I know about peer pressure, they all said, "It isn't any good." My neighbor asked me, "Have you ever been in a situation that made you uncomfortable, or have you ever done something such as smoking or trying drugs because you felt pressured or forced?" "That's peer pressure," they said. My parents looked at me with their grim but worry eyes, "learn to say no, my dear!" Is peer pressure always bad? I don't think so. It is both positive and negative, and we can avoid it when it is negative because we ourselves make our own decisions.
No one can live alone, and everyone needs friends. Therefore, peer pressure is what we can't avoid when going to school, or studying in groups. Peer pressure is valuable in a lot of cases...
