Nitrous oxide was first produced by a English chemist and Presbyterian minister, Joseph Priestley, in 1772. It was further investigated by Humphrey Davy in 1800 at the Pneumatic Medical Institution in Bristol. Nitrous Oxide can be both good and bad. Good because it is used in the medical field as a form to stop or lessen the pain of their patients. And bad because more and more party goers are using nos as a form of entertainment and relief . Nitrous oxide can have many devastating effects on people, like loss of brain activity, serious personality changes in addition to bone marrow damage, and lack of making decisions.
