The readings in this class had brought up a lot of interesting points and facts that I would have never known about if not taking this class. I have been guilty of not keeping up with events that have happened over the past few years. Most of the readings were all new news to me.
I never really realized how much companies and organizations go through and how much they react with society. Any decision that is made concerning the company, affects everyone, not only the employees, but they can affect everyone in the community. For example with the Shell Company and the trials and tribulations they went through. Who would think that a company would be that much of an influence on the surrounding community, and play a role in the political issues as well. I really don't agree with the way that Shell handled the whole situation. The town that there company was in didn't really benefit from Shells success. Shell was making enough money, to where they could have contributed to improving the way of life there...
