Gattaca is a film about a society that determiness a person's success by their DNA value. In the film there is a sequencing station that informs the costumer of their partner's DNA value. There are pros and cons to this "sequencing station" in which I will inform you in the following essay.
First of all, a pro would be if a couple decided to have a baby they would be concerned if their baby was to be a cast-off or would fit in.If the couple both had bad DNA then their baby would turn out with bad DNA also and become a reject. With this information you could save your child the trouble and not have a baby or just adopt. Second, would be that if you were to know if your partner was to succeed or not and if they would hold you back so you wouldn't stay in that relationship.You couldn't marry some one that was worse or better than you because each other would seem different in each other's eyes. Lastly, you wouldn't have to worry about being discriminated against because your partner's perfect for you.The two of you would lead a happy life and never think of each other any differently and would just be grateful that you have each other...
