Today we will be having a meeting with all the women to discuss the question, "What do women need most, why should they have it, and what should they do to get it?"
Jane Addams speaks first out of the group. She wrote in favor of women's suffrage. "Like other women, I believe women should have the right to vote. Women have the ability to nurture homes and families. I believe we can solve these problems from the human welfare point of view not from the military point of view or from the industrial point of view. Women have at least attempted to care for their children, to clean house, to prepare foods, and basically just taken care of that side of life. Women deserve all rights equally like every one else."
