A Tough Change
By my twelfth year of school I was nothing but a troublemaker. I was constantly getting suspended from school and getting in trouble with the law. My life was headed in the wrong direction. I just barely graduated from high school and I was almost sent to Lincoln Hills, a place for troubled youth, where I had seen many of my peers end up. These two almost life changing consequences were like a slap in the face. What could I do to get my life headed back in the right direction?
The answer wasn't hard to figure out. My father did it and before that his father did it. So I made a trip to Green Bay, WI and signed up for Marine Corps boot camp a month out of high school, and they were only too glad to have me. This was my chance to make a change for the better, but I had no idea what I was in for...
