Born on January 17th, 1962, it was obvious at an early age, that Jim Carrey had the skills of an actor. He went looking for his first job at the age of twelve, sending his resum, to the Carol Burnett Show. His first real experience was doing a stand-up routine for his classmates in Newmarket, Ontario. Jim Carrey was always a keen student, and was a sax player in his school band.
Soon after junior high, his family moved to Scarborough, a Toronto suburb. Carrey dropped out of high school, and focussed on a career of acting, and comedy. He started working in small comedy clubs, and did impersonations of celebrities such as James Stewart, and Michael Landon. His siblings, Pat, John and Rita, weren't so well off. They had minimum wage jobs, and were forced to live in their car for over a month, until they could move back into their apartment.
In 1979, Jim moved again, this time to Los Angeles...
